An international advisor for EBRD, Elpida is an exceptional strategist that focuses on Sustainability, Corporate Governance and ESG policy. She is one of the very few with extensive knowledge and committed to shaping Environmental Sustainability and Social Responsibility.
Elpida is also a financial lawyer with broad experience in M&A transactions and related financings, domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, heavy and light industry. She has extensive knowledge when it comes to debt, financial restructuring and securitization, derivatives, repos and securities transactions, as well as asset-based and secured lending.

She is a member of the ICC Women Hellas and one of the two-member team managing the Arts and Culture Cluster of the ICC World Business Women.
She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Public Investment Bank and has also served as the Secretary General of the Board of Directors of Attica Bank. She is our expert when it comes to compliance issues, corporate governance and shareholder issues, throughout her extensive work as the Head of Legal Compliance specializing in finance. She has a PhD in Banking, Corporate Finance and Securities Law (Thesis title: “Capital Controls and Debt Restructuring Mechanisms”). She holds an LL.M. in Banking and International Company Law with a certificate of excellence from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an LL.M. in Transnational and European Commercial Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the International Hellenic University. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Paris 1-PANTHEON -SORBONNE.

She is one of the very few lawyers who have a wealth of knowledge across a range of Shariah-compliant structures, as she is the author of “Legal aspects and comparative study of the Conventional and the Islamic Banking System”.

She is a speaker in national legal conferences (“Credit Institutions: Legal, Regulatory and Statutory Aspects”, “Compliance and Corporate Governance”, e.t.c.)
